Is “Future” From St.Louis or Nawww!!!!

This photo tells a story about a rapper that was once in St.Louis , and had a single in heavy rotation in the 314 with Lil Boosie and St.Louis area artist Vic Damone “Check My Swag” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUMngZi2KSU which is one of the oldest songs I was able to find featuring the rapper on youtube .

Things that I have head about Rapper Future being from St.Louis include , him growing up here, going to Jennings Senior High, having a house in Burlington Downs, being managed by well known St.Louis artist manager Guccio, and him stealing his rap name Future from a St.Louis based Rap group called “Da Camp.”

After hours of search engine entries the only thing that popped up was concert information, making me believe that either, he has no ties to St.Louis, or that he doesn’t believe his time here was at all important to his career.

After finding nothing on Google, Bing, yahoo, etc I took my search to facebook, getting some of the same contestant answers, and some answers that made more sense then others being tossed around in the past.

Future was not born, nor raised in St.Louis, and he didn’t attend any school during his time in St.Louis. According to many links, interviews, articles, Future received his name by Iconic Southern Hip Hop’s Dungeon Family, while also going by the name of Meathead , which may discredit another rumor that he stole his rap name from “Future Ali” of St.Louis Rap Group “Da Camp.” They believe he adopted the name some time during their stay in Atlanta as openers on Nelly’s Seat / Suit Tour.

While in St.Louis he had a situation with Guccio , and recorded at a few studios in St.Louis including Notifi Studio’s. Me personally I don’t know the specifics of the situation Future had with Guccio ( Management, investor, mentor, etc). He recorded tracks with acts associated with Guccio including Vic Damome & Laudie on the Track, and took very few surfaced pictures.

The photo seen here is from 2006, the same year the Rapper had an arrested for reasons unknown, and was locked for for time unknown.

Hope this helps some one, if / as more info come in expect updates, feel free to click on photo and comment on facebook.

@Damafia6iX Brings Out What appears to be Lord Infamous Casket During Kick Off of the Sinners Tour

During the Launch concert of Members of 3 6 Mafia now known as “Da Mafia 6ix, Sinners Tour” They place what appears to be deceased member Lord Infamous ( Brother of Dj Paul ) casket on stage.

This was in fact at the opening show in Memphis which included other former 3 6 Mafia members, such as Frayser Boy, LaChat, Lil Wyte who aren’t apart of the new group Da Mafia 6,it is not clear if it was the casket that host inside the body of Lord Infamous, or if it was indeed just a stage prop.

Stay updated with this article as I find out more I will update. Until then R.I.P Lord Infamous Da Mafia 6 Sinners Tour Happening now invading St.Louis Mach 27th at the Mad Magician.

True Fans welcome @whoischrome to @Fubarstl S/o @T1Production 2/13/14

With love in the air and side chicks needing affection T 1 Productions made a bold move to bring former protege of
3 6 Mafia & reemerging Hip Hop artist Chrome to St.Louis on the eve of Valentines Day.

The crowd , filled with up and coming artist, their fans, and die hard fans of the 3 6 Mafia sound were all in the building.

One of the most memorable acts of the night came from a artist who traveled 4 hours from Springfield, Mo to hit the stage. P Win from parts South and West of Missouri gave a great show. His performance style could be described as a mixture of Tech 9ne & Mgk. The most remember-able and unexpected part of his performance was how he closed it with a throw back track of Rap Group Onyx and wasn’t whack at all. He demanded the crowds attention and praise through out his performance and afterwards.

Once it was time for Chrome to hit the stage he did a number of new and exciting tracks, and a few of the throwbacks such as “I got it for Sell” from the 3 6 Mafia “Most Known Unknown Album.” After the show he decided to reach out to the fans, (unlike most headliners). He took plenty of pictures and shook many hands.

It was a great , safe night for hip hop. S/o T 1 Productions for putting together the event.

Bad Bad Records to close in 5...4...3...2...

The label who brought us Classic acts, such as Biggie Smalls, Mary J Blidge, the introduction of Young Jeezy with rap group Boyz in The Hood, and countless others is reportedly shutting down with all acts either being dropped or carried by parent company Interscope.

Failing to make a major impact in the music business since its last certified album in 07, most of staff have been transferred to Diddy’s current successful companies, such as Revolt TV, and Ciroc.

The end of the iconic label has not been confirmed as of yet but sources are stating that operations make come to a halt soon as we enter Black History Month.

Chi Town Legend @TWISTAgmg Rocks Diverse Crowd at the Mad Magician

Chi Town Legend @TWISTAgmg Rocks Diverse Crowd at the Mad Magician

From Po Pimping, to Popping Tags, the man who can make you an overnight celebrity brought down the house January 26th in St.Louis South Side, courtesy of Arch Front Media and the Mad Magician concert Venue.

Getting there half an hour after doors opened at 7, I was greeted with diversity with fans of different races, ages, and income, already in attendance. While waiting on the openers to begin performing, and during intermissions I was impressed than ever with Dj Style Playlist as the #1 Dj on Reverbnation St.Louis Charts , played an array of up to date hits, although some of his selections through the mostly young crowd off their “turn up” agenda.

The opening acts included Doorway, Preach, and an artist worth noting Wally Kuhlenberg, “Black Kid Jewish Name”, who had something to prove to the crowd as he acted the crowd with his rapid flow similar to Twista with out the years of perfection and nature swag of the Chi Town Legend. After each opening act you can tell that the crowd was getting more and more, impatient as from 10 30 – 11 the concert venue became more and more like a lunch room with tens of people talking about their own agenda instead of watching the performers give their all on stage.

As 11 O Clock came Twista hit the stage and immediately everybody in the building was attracted to the front of the stage. Camera phones, tablets, and other devices all in the air to capture classics being performed like, Slow Jamz , Overnight Celebrity, Adrenaline Rush, and countless other classics.

Its worth noting that Arch Front Media, & the Mad Magician have other shows coming up including Stevie Stone March 8th, and the Mafia 6 late march.
