5 Questions with Roc Nations Rel Carter (Jay Z’s Nephew) During Nerve Dj Weekend

Rel Carter.jpgThe Nerve Djs 13th year anniversary Weekend was highlighted with the Industry Panel & Showcase which consisted of so many heavy hitters, & life changers, from Sway (Shade 45, VH1, Bet, etc), Reggie Hawkins, & among others Roc Nation A & R / Dj Rel Carter, Nephew of who many consider the Best Rapper in Hip Hop History.

Question 1 : From Jay-z’s second verse to Kanye West’s “Never Let You Down” Built the ROC from a pebble, peddled rock before I met you
Peddled bikes, got my nephews peddle bikes because they special.” “Did he really get you all the peddle bikes” I know you all might think that was a silly question but, some of yall favorite rappers lie about minor stuff because it rhymes. He looked at me like “Really” & said of course.

Question 2: Out of all the songs he mentions his Nephews in general, is there any song or line in general that stood out. He thought about it, & couldn’t come up with an immediate.

Question: Working with Roc Nation have you received any Platinum Plaques for your work, immediate answer, “Yeah, of course”

Question 4 & 5: Do you do any industry tours, & or you interested in possibly coming to St.Louis, he said  he was interested in doing something of that nature, gave me his email so hopefully we will see him in our part of the Midwest with in the coming months, if interested in investing in such a thing text 3146296404.

Beanie Sigel (@BeanieSigelSP) Levels up with “Gang Gang” Video {Meek Mill Diss}

After an over repetitive death threat of a diss record “Im Coming” & the father son narrative of “Good Night” Meek Mill’s has now officially 2 club records inspired by the(Dream Chaser), with Beanie Sigels “Gang Gang.” The repetitive hook, beat, & og swag and confidence” I can see Beans back on the charts if just for a moment with this one. Just like the other diss records hes still sending 20 + death threat lines to Mill, but like Drake, hes made it fun, & that’s what matters. Meek Mill he’s 3 disses in….we waiting…. Mike Brown Sr. Approved, Young Thug No longer banned in St.Louis

1 month after the fatal shooting of an unarmed African American teen Mike Brown by former Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson, metro-sexual rapper Young Thug made comments during an award show that united the St.Louis & cities across the Midwest, calling for a ban on the rapper promising violence and protest if he was to touch down in the St.Louis area.

Young Thugs last show in St.Louis prior to his comments was in March of 2014 at Klub Klymaxx less then 10 minutes from where Mike Brown Jr.was murdered months later. There were several attempts to bring Thugger to the city since then, which all fail short until Young Thug dropped a track hard enough for everyone to forgive him.

After a year of anger against Rich Hommie Quans Hubbie, reduced radio spins, and negative opinions Young Thug Dropped “Best Friend” a St.Louis anthem about bleeding bad, eating booty and other weird things.The song was so powerful & uplifting to St.Louis that Hot 104.1 began to play the song religiously as if it was a Drake, or Fetty Wap record. The city loved the record so much they almost forgot that up & coming St.Louis artist J.R. released a hot single with the same name similar concept in August of 2015 with Trey Songz, that’s currently creeping towards top 40 status.

The song was so hot that with out apologizing for his lack of empathy of Mike Browns murder, Young Thug was able to come back to the city that once “Banned” him, and the city gave him mad love in the form of a sold out show, no violence, no protest, and a few $1000 in his pocket and a possible yeast infection.

Young Thug was able to meet Mike Brown Sr. the father of the male who Young Thug gave 0 fucks about in 2014 & it was all good, they even took photos. S/o to everybody in St.Louis, St.Charles, and Metro East who put hot records over social issues,why stand for something when we can just turn up instead?

#MWB6 $1000 Winners “QP” of Dayton & King Nation of Omaha

#MWB6.jpgMidwest Best 6 went down in history November 14th as the 1st Midwest Best $1000 Showcase where both winners where from outside of the St.Louis region.

Omaha group King Nation brought the most people out to Studio 618 that night with a total of 24 people counted which mean they brought more support then any artist from the St.Louis area & walked away with $500.

The judges had a tougher time picking the Midwest Best judges pick considering between 5 artist in particular Queen Kong of Northern Mississippi, J Boy Boss Azz of Milwaukee, T Hunt & QP both from Dayton & Draya Bytch of St.Louis,Mo.

After about 10 minutes of deliberations the 3 judges which included Song writer and clothing designer known as “Tha Supa,”Rick Ross Music Group artist Jayy Topp, and viral sensation Jay Red of Tulsa, OK came to a decision to announce Qp the next $500 winner of the Midwest Best. The reasoning included the fact that all judges connected with with music as well as enjoyed it more than most other artist in the showcase as well as respected his image branding his label Heavy Hittaz & wearing it on his back letting everybody know what he reps.
