Local artist Kapitol Hp is doing “BIG” things to promote the video shoot of his new single “So Big.” July 12th @ Heman Park, Kapitol is hosting a “So Big” Picnic. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting one of St.Louis’s newest buzz artist who goes by one word, MAJOR, and has done major things opening up for some of the biggest hip hop artist of the new millennium including Nelly, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy to name a few, of a much larger list.
He is currently being pushed by one of the top party /concert promoters, and former club owner Phil Assets, & is believed to be signed to his label Liquid Assets.
Major is currently pushing a single, “Money Dance” available for purchase on ITunes, in rotation on St.Louis station Hot 104.1 & of course every Liquid Assets event.
Through out the school year you could catch Majors promo van in action @ various schools through out the city, giving out shirts, cds, etc, I even spotted them on 1st Capitol in St.Charles.
With all of this added to his resume, and the backing of Liquid Assets, it will be an entertaining Journey to see this young man can live up to his name.

May 9th Chris Brown was sentenced to 131 days in jail, after a judge ruled that he viloated his probation stemming from his case involving Rihanna & was released near midnight June 2nd after serving 108 days behind bars according to TMZ.
Although he was sentenced to a year behind bars, but got credit for 116 days he spent in rehab, and another 59 days behind bars.
In Tulsa, Ok Nasti means, “Never Allow Someone To Intimidate,” well at least thats what it means to Yung Nasti singer,dancer, song writer, etc.
In April he released his newest single “Just Gotta Make It” to YouTube and I tunes. “Just Gotta Make it” is an up temple message that I would like to describe is Gospel Pop or “Gospop” if I may.Combining the realistic temptations of a young man, with and uplifting reminder to pray, and letting your maker take you to & through your journeys this Ying and Yang balance is something that isn’t done often or as perfect as in this record.
The video it’self starts with “Harold” aka Young Nasti slacking off and work and getting fired. He comes home to his women to give her the news and as she flips out he asks her to believe in his music, and that people where looking to sign him, then they go to sleep.
Next scene they wake up to a phone call letting “Harold” know that a label was interested in his project and wanted to invest into him.
Finally 3 plus minutes into the video the actual video starts and consist of different scenes including dancing in the street, and reviewing & signing contracts, and its not clear but according to the video he makes it.

This is what rising hip hop singer August Alsina spoke during a concert in Little Rock, Ak. Alsina was cruising through the crowd on top of his security team during his performance when an onlooker decided to pull him down and take his hat.
This hat is told to be a gift from his deceased brother for whom he owes his success to.
Immediately after this incident he instructs the Dj to kill the music and demands the audience to return his hat. During the silence you start to hear yelling, tussle , and tasers, with no clear visual from the concert video of what was to take place. Moments later Alsina cancels the remainder of his show.
Not sure if he has gotten his hat back yet.

The Only Person Who wore a hoody through out the Movie was the Black Guy, Aka, the Villian.
Max Dillion, played by Jamie Foxx, started off as some one who was never acknowledged by anyone, until the day Spiderman saved his life, and acknowledged him, afterwards becoming obsessed with him.
While employed by Oscorp on his birthday he was asked to stay behind at work, while the entire company left work for the day, including janitors, security, interns, to fix a broken power line. In the process of doing the work Max has an incident that could have taken his life, but instead gave him super powers and made him look, nonhuman. After his dramatic change in image, and uncontrolled power, as he walked through the streets of New York City, he accidentally caused a scene prompting Spider man’s arrival and shortly afterwards the police, who eventually captures him with Spidermans help, after trying to shoot / kill him with their own weapons.
While captured and in a highly secure prison institution, his former job Oscorp took measures to prove Max never existed, to cover up their neglectful mistakes, since no one to that point was looking for him, or asking about him.
Evenually he is escaped from prison where he becomes one of the super villains of the movie and fights Spider-Man, & Spider-Man always wins, in this case possibly killing off the only black person in the movie.
To sum it up the only black man, was overworked, almost died, was wrongfully targeted, became a villian, and possibly died again. I wonder how much fun they had with this one.
Even though I took my daughter to see the Amazing Spider Man 2 when it was 1st released in theaters, held my tongue to prevent a spoiler alert for those who had yet to see it and want to see it.
