There was one black boy in my elementary classroom. He was funny, smart, and spoke with a severe slur because of his cerebral palsy that you had to focus on his every word to understand him. He also walked down the hallway and ran on the playground with a limp.

I got to know him because the teacher asked me to spend one-on-one time with him going over our spelling words. We sat in little desks in the hallway, me saying each word aloud and then patiently waiting for him as he slowly, but carefully wrote each letter onto the lined paper.

Then in seventh grade a different black boy, one who I’d been friends with, asked me during science class if I would be his date to the school dance. To me it…

Lil Wayne wants out of Cash Money?

Lil Wayne announced on Twitter 12-4-2014 about being unhappy about his situation with Cash Money, while not mentioning the label by name. Lil Wayne has been a member of Cash Money since the mid 90’s as a young teen & once youngest artist signed to the label.

Lil Wayne is not the 1st nor 2nd artist who made his opinion about Cash Money known, other artist include Tyga,& Lil Chuckie to name a few.

Cash Money is part owned by Birdman who Lil Wayne references often in songs, and often calls daddy.

Ayent ( @Ayent2014 ) – Working (With Them People)

S10547430_10203483150913828_7772971334835793468_nt.Louis based rap artist Ayent who performed July 8th at Bar None in Springfield,Ill received great reviews when he performed the track entitled, “Working”  which is a song directed towards people who are deep in the street life and get caught up, only to point out , and assist officers in other arrest in hopes of getting a shorter crime. Although I’m not a fan of crime, or criminal activity, I do believe that you shouldn’t do the crime if you couldn’t do the time, the hook is catchy the song tells a story, and the beat is dope. Overall, I give the recorded track 4/5, I believe the recording could have been more energetic, like the performance, click the photo to link to the track and be  be the judge.

Mr.BrownSwagger( @Mr_BrownSwagger ) Official Video Swagger 2 the Maxx

618’s own Mr.Brownswagger, linked up with Kansas City producer Baby Nelson, to create the anthem “Swagger 2 the Max,” which also features an artist by the name 100, and is expected to be released with Browns upcoming mixtape “Strap or Die.”

The song itself features the up tempo 808 snare and string melody and a theme consistent with the featured artist name Brown (Swag) ger , filled with sound effects including a glimpse of auto tune, a Pewee Herman drop, and more.

The video, shot by Eagle Films, shows Brownswagger, at an East St.Louis liquor store, A & S, shows different scenes of them pulling down bottles, and posted up at the local coner store.

At the video’s closing Mr.Brownswagger gives us a glimpse of his newest single “Thot Chick” which I’m assuming is also on the upcoming mixtape “Strap or Die.”
