How @DaReal_TPrince1 & @Swurvie91 won the Winter Midwest Best Showcase

Midwest Best Best winners @DaReal_TPrince1 @Swurvie91 th

S/o to the winners of the 1st Midwest Best Competition of 2014, T Prince & Young Swurvie.

Young Swurvie won the 1st cash prize bringing in over 25 people in attendance, and being the only artist that night to bring in over 20 fans. One way he was able to bring out his crowd and make make new fans was by giving away his brand of T-Shirts, which he was one of the only few artist giving out or even bringing out merchandise.

T Prince who was the judges unanimous decision took home the 2nd cash prize. The key things the judges were looking for was image , stage presents, sound quality, and song likability. They were impressed with his image rocking his label, Blo Music Mafia Clothing brand which was beyond basic, compared to the usual rapper based hoody / shirt lines. It was also easy to identify his movement in the crowd with his key supports rocking like wise attire. Even though he didn’t do back flips on stage, what the judges liked most about his stage presence was his confidence, he wasn’t nervous at all as he looked the entire crowd dead in their eyes, and hitting every word of his song precisely with no fumbles.

While there were others in consideration like Ne Ne Goon & the Green Light Boys who they believed had a dynamic performances , and Bigg Rich who impressed them a lot with all of the thought he put in to his show disc which almost sounded like he had his own professional Dj on Stage with him. The deciding factor was song likability which set T-Prince apart from the other top 5 contestants, they were blown away about the 4 minute tale of St.Louis, and another thing they liked about his song was that he was confident enough to go with 1 track. More things that was said about the winner was that he didn’t talk as much shit as most people who hit the stage, boasting and bragging about how they were the best and how they were going to win. Even in the crowd as he shouted out various hoods in St.Louis, certain people were excited that some one thought to bring up their hood and saluted him.

After announcing who won there were and will always be people who were upset that they didn’t win, which is understandable, even Beyonce lost competitions as she started her journey in music. Shout out to all who kept it professional and even those who let their emotions get the best of them, some times losing a battle is needed to learn how to win the war.

@StevieStone09 Live In Concert St.Louis concert March 8th #stangemusic

Stevie

What was suppose to be the kick off for St.Louis based, Stange Music artist, “Tour Birds 1 Stone Tour” has been postponed until Saturday March 8th,mainly because of the extreme arctic weather that has hit the St.Louis region in the 1st few days of the year.

Most tickets dated for January 9th will  still be honored for the new date, the best way to find out if your ticket is valid or for any other questions or concerns call 314-7155995 and also not confirmed but I’m assuming most local and indie acts who were to perform at the January date will still be on the ticket to perform, including St.Charles artist Double B who is already confirmed for the March 8th show.

If you build your brand the will find you. That’s my advice and testimony.

My interview with Kayzie Bone was my 1st big interview. So big that I got in trouble with the station for not telling them how big it was going to be, lol. With that on my resume, I was able to land interviews with Nappy Roots, Chingy, and Grand Hustle Artist Big Kuntry King almost immediately afterwards.

I 1st knew how big the interview was the next day, when I cut on 104.1 and they were playing “For the Love of Money.”It was weird because I haven’t heard them play any of their music in ages, and I don’t believe in too many coincidences. Another big indicator that the interview was big was that Arch Front Media announced that they were booking Krayzie Bone for a show couple months later in March. Before the interview, talking with his people they had plans, and ambitions on making it to St.Louis with no promoters interested in the ticket it seemed like an uphill battle.

If all these things were just coincident then hey, but then again Whobeta?

Rather it was the Guest Room, Daddy’s Money, Rene’s, and most recently the Ginger Bistro, Mic Check Monday has been a staple in the hip hop community of St.Louis, lasting more than most hip hop careers.

The 5th year has many artist eager to perform, as the venue was announced this Monday. The Coliseum, which is known more as a concert venue to some, will also be the stage to many possible up & coming artist, that would have never made it on such a prominent stage.

KINGS OF TURN UP STARRING @DorroughMusic / @blakcdude DECEMBER 6TH IN ST.LOUIS

Dorrough, hit singles (Walk that walk, Ice Cream Paint Job, Get Big), will be in North County St.Louis December 6th, at the Sound Bar.

This concert was one of many concerts that was postponed in late September, but now with a venue that matches the demographic of the headlining acts, and a extra month a promo. This concert should do a lot better than what I would have projected it at the Fubar 2 months ago.

The opening acts also live up to the turn up title, with Ne Ne Goon, & Mr.Gnarley , giving some of the best performances from artist, in the metro area.
