The 10th & final Midwest Best Showcase went down in history as we gave paid out another $1000 to deserving indie artist. Live from Studio 618, the room was filled with a melting pot of artist & fans from across the Midwest, South, & East Coast, with more then 200 people in attendance.
There were a lot of great things happening including 1st time ever performances from Springfield, Illinois artist Fly Rich, & R & B singer Zee from St.Louis, giveaways from Petty Cash Clothing, & of course we gave away a stack.
With the Midwest Best we have now 10 times rewarded artist for their ability to draw a crowd, with the person bringing the most people out that night walking away with at least $500. Also, now 10 times we have rewarded artist for bringing exceptional talent, uniqueness, & energy that stands out above the rest, by giving the best performance $500. With 15 plus people in the building Mz.Yay-yo walked away with $500 as her fans, supporters, & family went crazy. Standing alone with a dominating presence Cedes Cedes couldn’t be denied as demanded every listeners attention & respect with every word from her mouth, as she rocked the stage & crowd full of strangers her entire set as she earned the other $500.
Shout to all the artist that performed that night from near & far, for those who didn’t win don’t let that stop you, even Beyonce loses sometime! #MWBX #Midwestbestdone
