July 18th went down in history as one of the hottest showcases in the Midwest happened on one of the hottest days of the year thus far. The 5th installment of the Midwest Best $1000 Showcase crowned 2 new winners in never in never before fashion. This #MWB was one of the most complicated to judge with talent from across the Midwest bringing their A game and nothing less taking 10-15 minutes to decide the winner. But, for the 1st time ever the Midwest Best crowned an R & B singer, Fitzgerald as the winner of the #MWB5 by an almost unanimous decision by the judges.The second prize of $500, which is given to the artist that brings the biggest following was given to Cash Zone who brought most of their fans out on a exclusive 20 passenger party bus that took them to and from the event. This was the 1st time a party bus has ever invaded the Midwest Best & the investment paid off.The top runner ups include Dayton’s QP, Indianapolis artist Shach, Quazy Not Crazy, & Chicago’s Young Rico.
